ProjectFocus impacted me in two ways; it helped me to overlook how I felt about my physical appearance and how people looked at me at a younger age and, it helped me to treat my family better and to cherish them. I graduated from high school and am currently working as a porter at the Manoa Grand Ballroom. I also played football and basketball in high school. I most proud of the fact that since I came from the projects in Kalihi, I didn’t go astray or end up in jail. I am trying to be a better man, break bad habits and become self-sufficient to help my family. My dream would be to see my family free of struggle. It may sound corny but that is what I long for.
