Lisa Uesugi, Photographer

With indiscernible speech other than her use of sign language, Aubrey learned that she had another strong voice through the camera lens. Her unique choice of both photo subjects and her perspective of her world fascinated her family. She loved working with Laurie and Lisa, kissing the dolphins at The Kahala Resort and making new friends. Aubrey was recently crowned, “Miss Hawaii Princess United States 2015” – a title bestowed upon one with special needs who serves her community. Aubrey is proud of making many friends, performing sign language to music on stage and making people happy. Her dream is to take beautiful scenic photographs, create an on-line photo book and have a “one-girl” exhibit someday.
