I photographed my mom Tawny. She is the one who teaches me the things she thinks I might need. I can tell her anything that is bothering me and I know she will always be there for me. I was so sad when she was in prison because I didn’t see her much and I wasn’t able to talk to her when I needed to. Now my mom makes me feel like we are a big family again. I would like to always stay with her because she inspires me to be a better person. I miss being a whole and big family and I miss all her kisses. “I love you mom.”

I am nice to everybody.
I can stay strong in my life.
I will help my sisters in school and in any way they want me to.

My photographer is my daughter, Chloe. She is outgoing, loving and happy. We share a special bond. She talks to me about how she is feeling and I listen with an open heart and mind. I encourage her to be secure in who she is and in return, she always encourages me. We enjoy doing “girlie” things together. We love to get our nails done and shopping is a must too, because we always want to be in style! Chloe is never afraid to try new adventures. She has a very healthy self-esteem. I see her setting positive goals and always following through with them. In her beautiful smiling face I see a wondrous future. My dream for Chloe is that she succeeds at something she loves. I want her to lead a happy and healthy life. Whatever she chooses to do, I know she will put her whole heart into it. I want her to know that I am striving to be the mother she deserves and that I will be returning to college to complete my culinary art classes that I started at WCCC. My ultimate goal is to open a small restaurant in Hilo with the help of our family. “Chloe, I want us all to be a part of building a positive future and share everything together!”
