Of the 39 children served since 2005 (16 girls and 23 boys), over 95% were of Hawaiian ancestry and reside predominately in west Oahu. Collectively they have suffered poverty, homelessness, drug addition, prostitution, substance abuse, physical abuse, mental abuse, life-threatening illnesses, incarceration, domestic violence, the death of one or both parents, neglect and more.
