LAURIE BREEDEN CALLIES
Based in Honolulu, Hawai‘i, Laurie Callies is the principal owner of Baby Face Productions.  She is currently on sabbatical concentrating her efforts toward transitioning ProjectFocus Hawai‘i Inc. from a community service endeavor to a non-profit organization.

Since 1996, Laurie’s area of specialty has been fine-art, black and white photography of children with an emphasis in hand-coloring.  In an effort to maintain the integrity of her craft, she utilizes film – no digital photography – and implements the traditional style and techniques of hand-coloring photographs using oil paints.

Laurie has been featured on “The Hawaiian Moving Company” as well as other local television programs and profiled in HONOLULU Magazine.  Her exhibits have included: The Canon Photo Gallery, Diamond Head Theatre, South Street Gallery and F22 Gallery.

Laurie serves as a trustee of La Pietra- Hawai‘i School for Girls.  She is married and is the grandmother of two.

LISA UESUGI
Based in Wahiawa, Hawaii, Lisa Uesugi of utopia Photography is a traditional, black & white, film photographer who insists that her work be custom-printed by hand. She custom prints all of her clients’ photographic work and is well known and respected for artistic integrity.  Lisa has clients through the State of Hawai‘i, the mainland and Asia.

Lisa started capturing images 20 years ago when she was still in high school. As a mother, Lisa began focusing her lens on the simple everyday moments of childhood...the very moments that every parent wants to hold onto forever. Lisa shoots with a photo-documentary approach, which lends a unique portraiture style to her work. She personally hand prints her work. She has recently exhibited at F22 Gallery and the Hawaii Contemporary Museum's Contempo Rarities Show.

Lisa has degrees in art (photography) and education. She was a Hawai'i public school teacher for over 10 years, with five years devoted to a middle school art program.

Lisa is married and has three children.
