Sherine

This is my mom, Teodora. I choose her because she was there for me even though I screwed up and said a lot of stuff like I hated her. Even when I made a lot of mistakes she was still there for me. She makes me feel thankful because if I did to somebody else what I did to her, they would have given up on me …but my mom didn’t. She was there for me even when she didn’t even want to be. I like doing a lot of fun family stuff with her. I am proud of this person because she actually listens to me now unlike before. She would let me talk but would never hear what I had to say. Now, we don’t get under each other’s skin and we know when not to irritate each other. She inspires me to do better in everything I do and to achieve what I want. “Mom, I know that we’ve been through a lot but I just want to tell you I love you and you’re the one I thank for being there for me. I love you.”

Sherine is my daughter and took my picture. I brought her to Hawaii from the Philippines when she was little. She is sweet and loveable and I want her to be a good person. We like to cook and eat together. She is very helpful and I like that she now works at my job. My dream is for her to finish her studies and accomplish the things in her life she wants to do. “Keep on going, Sweetie!”
