Imaikalani “Imai”

The person that I am taking photographs of is my dad. His name is Alex. I chose my dad because he is fun. He gives me money, takes me places because I like to get out of the house and makes me laugh. He makes me feel successful. I know that my dad will always be there for me when I need him. I am proud of my dad because before he used to be an addict. Now he has a year and a couple of months clean and serene. I want to tell him that I’ll support him so he doesn’t go out and do drugs again. “I love you, dad!”

My 14 year old son Imaikalani took my picture. He loves hanging out with his friends and riding bikes with them. We like to hang out and go cruzin’ together in the car or at home. We play and laugh a lot when we’re together. I am proud of my son because he has come a long way during his years of growing up and has done so well in school. My dream is for him to graduate from high school, get a job or go to college and move forward to reach his goals in life. “I love you, my son.”
