Chelsea

I made several lifelong friends through ProjectFocus including Miss Hawai`i, Lauren (Cheape) Matsumoto. Since being in the program, I have become more involved with social activities even though I am still quite shy. I am working on being more open and friendly. I am most proud of being able to dance hula and hip-hop. Both allow me to entertain in front of a crowd and this summer I’ll be performing at the opening ceremonies for the Special Olympics World Games in LA with my dance group, “Heartbeat.” My dream is to become a good hula dancer.
